Ortega Highway Expected To Reopen Monday Night Following Falls Fire
LAKE ELSINORE (CBSLA.com) — State Route 74 (Ortega Highway) is expected to reopen Monday night following last week's Falls Fire, which burned roughly 1,400 acres.
Guardrail installation was completed five days earlier than expected, which will allow Caltrans to open the road from 6 p.m. to 8 a.m. daily.
However, the road will be subject to one-way traffic control areas between the hours of 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. until all repairs are complete.
Two firefighters and one civilian with a medical disorder were injured in the blaze, which started on Aug. 5.
