Ontario Man Arrested For Allegedly Having Year-Long Sexual Relationship With Teen
CHINO HILLS (CBSLA.com) — A 39-year-old man was being held on $1 million bail Tuesday after he was arrested for having a year-long sexual relationship with a teen.
Cesar Garcia was taken into custody Sunday on charges of sex crime with a child, stalking and robbery, according to the Chino Hills Police Department.
Garcia, of Ontario, allegedly began the relationship with the girl when she was 15.
"Garcia met the victim through his teenage sister and used the ruse of babysitting his children in order to get her to his house on a repeated basis," Det. Harper said.
He had several profiles on social media sites to contact the girl and her friends and used those sites to request and receive child pornography.
"After a year, the victim tried to end the relationship but Garcia would not allow her to," police said.
The victim finally notified authorities in September after Garcia confronted her and her friends and ripped a phone from her hands.
Garcia then fled the area, but continued to stalk the girl through social media.
"Garcia posted inappropriate, sexual content on her sites and used her profiles to have communication with other teen girls," said police.
He continued to evade law enforcement for three months while stalking the teen until he was arrested on Dec. 15 in Garden Grove.
Detectives are concerned there may be more victims, considering the suspect's methods and his presence on social media.Anyone with information should contact Det. Harper at (909)364-2000.
