Motorcyclist Dead In Montebello Hit-And-Run Crash
MONTEBELLO (CBSLA.com) — A motorcyclist was killed Friday afternoon in a hit-and-run crash on Washington Boulevard in Montebello, police said.
According to the Montebello Police Department's Facebook page, a motorcycle was hit in the rear by a tan, four-door vehicle while both were traveling east on Washington Boulevard at a high rate of speed. The collision, near Bluff Road and Fourth Street, caused the motorcyclist to to hit a pole, while the tan vehicle fled into Pico Rivera.
The motorcyclist died at the scene, police said.
Washington Boulevard was closed between Paramount and Montebello boulevards after the 4:45 p.m. crash, police said.
From Sky2, Stu Mundel reported that the victim had not been transported from the scene as of 6 p.m.
