Off-Duty LAPD Officer Injured In Hit-And-Run Crash
LOS ANGELES (CBS) — An off-duty LAPD officer was struck by a hit-and-run motorist while riding his own motorcycle near Exposition Park.
"His injuries are not life threatening, but he did have some significant injuries," said Los Angeles police Sgt. Robert Rivers. "I know that he had road rash. He was unconscious for a little bit, a couple of minutes or so."
The crash happened about 10 p.m. Friday in the area of Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard and Normandie Avenue, Rivers said.
Rivers said he had no description of the fleeing vehicle or its driver.
