Off-Duty Deputy Reportedly Shoots Suspect After Being Stabbed
LOS ANGELES (CBS) — An off-duty sheriff's deputy critically wounded a suspect who reportedly stabbed him in East Los Angeles, according to the sheriff's department.

The shooting was reported at 3:53 a.m. in the 4500 block of East Third Street, Deputy Robert P. Boese III said.
According to authorities, the deputy and suspect were both transported to a local hospital.
Sheriff's homicide detectives were investigating both incidents.
