'Occupy' Protesters Attempt To Shut Down SSA Marine Operations At Long Beach Port
LONG BEACH (CBS) — "Occupy LA" protesters have moved to the Port of Long Beach, where they plan to set up picket lines and garner support from Longshore union workers.
Roughly 100 demonstrators gathered at 5 a.m. to march from Lincoln Park, the site of the "Occupy Long Beach" camp, to the port.
They are attempting to shut down the SSA Marine, which is 51 percent-owned by Goldman Sachs, for a day.
Several union and non-union workers say they will treat the march as a picket line.
