OC Man Sentenced To Prison For Murdering Woman Inside RV
SANTA ANA (CBSLA.com) — A 41-year-old man was sentenced to prison Friday for strangling a woman to death in his recreational vehicle.
According to the Orange County District Attorney's Office, Ean Keith Brown, of Huntington Beach, was ordered to spend 55 years to life in state prison.
He was found guilty by a jury on Feb. 4 of one felony count of second degree murder, the district attorney's office added.
Authorities explained Brown was released from prison in 2010, and was on parole for burglary.
During this time, he lived in an RV in the driveway of his parent's home, located in the 8300 block of Danbury Circle, in Huntington Beach.
Around 5:00 p.m. on Jan. 6, 2012, Arias Dolores Fagan, 21, left her relative's home — located on the same street where Brown was living — and was never seen again.
Brown murdered Fagan in his RV, police said. He strangled her, and stuffed her body in a sleeping bag.
Around Jan. 8, 2012, Brown's parents became suspicious, and requested that Huntington Beach police officers inspect the RV.
Officers subsequently discovered Fagan's body during their search of the vehicle, however, Brown was not home at the time.
Several hours later, he was located driving northbound on Interstate 15 toward the Nevada border, by the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department and California Highway Patrol officers.
Brown led officers on a high-speed chase before he was arrested and booked into the Huntington Beach Police Department.
At the sentencing arraignment, Fagan's mother delivered an impact statement to the court and said, "It is terrible that this man is still living. He has taken everything from me by killing my daughter."
