OC Man Gets Prison Time In Nebraska Marijuana Case
LINCOLN, Neb. (AP) — An Orange County man has been given 8 to 10 years in a Nebraska prison for the 66 pounds of marijuana found after a state trooper stopped the man and his mother last year near Lincoln Airport.
Scot Christensen was arrested in February 2010 along Interstate 80. The 43-year-old was convicted on drug charges, and the Lincoln Journal Star says he was sentenced Thursday.
His mother, Cynthia Bruckner, had been given three-to-eight years on the same charge.
The two shared a home in Fountain Valley, Calif.
Bruckner had sworn she didn't know the marijuana was secreted in the sport utility vehicle her son had rented. His attorney says Christensen already was on probation in California on similar charges.
