NYPD Says Pasadena Man Stole Taxi, Hit Traffic Light
NEW YORK (AP) — Police say a Pasadena man dragged a New York City taxi driver out of his cab, took over the cab and crashed it into a stoplight.
The incident started around 3 a.m. Sunday when Michael Findley hailed a taxi at Delancey Street and the Bowery on the Lower East Side.
A police spokeswoman says the 31-year-old Findley got out of the cab, dragged the driver out and took over the taxi himself.
According to the police, Findley drove the taxi to Union Square and crashed it into a traffic light.
Findley was treated for minor injuries at Bellevue Hospital and then arrested on charges including robbery, reckless endangerment and driving while intoxicated. No one else was injured.
No information on an attorney for Findley was immediately available.
