Not Thriving? 24-Hour Strike Kicks Off At Kaiser Hospitals
LOS ANGELES (CBS) — Nurses and health care professionals are striking at busy Kaiser Permanente hospitals across Southern CaliforniaWednesday.
The protest, which kicked off a 6 a.m. Wednesday, is expected to continue until 6 a.m. Thursday morning.
Protestors say they are concerned about patient care and that adequate time and staffing is not being provided.
"The Kaiser Permanente Los Angeles Medical Center will remain open and we will provide care for our patients," the hospital said in a statement. "We have brought in management nurses and others as necessary to ensure continued patient safety."
