Norwalk Man Pleads No Contest In Batman Movie Theater Threat Case
BELLFLOWER (AP) — Prosecutors say a man accused of calling for a gun and referencing the Colorado theater massacre at a "The Dark Knight Rises" screening in Norwalk two days after the deadly shooting has pleaded no contest to misdemeanor charges.
City News Service reports 52-year-old Clark Andrew Tabor entered pleas Wednesday on criminal threat and disturbing the peace by offensive language charges.
Authorities say Tabor yelled "does anyone have a gun?" and "I should go off like in Colorado" at the AMC Theatres on July 22.
He was reportedly angry about the number of previews. He was unarmed.
District attorney spokeswoman Jane Robison says Tabor faces 60 days in jail and three years of probation.
Tabor is required to undergo a psychiatric evaluation before his Sept. 12 sentencing.
