Northridge Hoops Banned From Postseason After Low APR Score
(CBS) -- The NCAA released its annual APR (academic progress rate) report on Tuesday and 8 schools received postseason bans for historically lagging behind, including Cal State Northridge.
Additionally, the Matadors will lose two scholarships and receive a reduction in practice time.
The Matadors were the only local school to receive a ban from postseason play, but Fullerton and Riverside both were docked two scholarships for low scores.

Long Beach St. - 950
Cal State Northridge joins Grambling, Chicago State, Southern and Louisiana-Monroe as schools that received bans from the postseason in basketball.
NCAA champion UCONN will lose two scholarships after a low score and LSU will lose one in basketball.
Southern also received a ban in football along with Idaho State and Jackson State.
Maryland and Louisville will lose 3 football scholarships .
