Nicki Minaj Dancer Bitten By Snake While Rehearsing For VMAs
LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — One of Nicki Minaj's dancers was bitten by a snake on Friday while rehearsing for the MTV Video Music Awards, it was reported Saturday.
A Los Angeles County Fire inspector told CBSLA that they responded to the Forum at 3900 W. Manchester Boulevard in Inglewood on Friday afternoon following a report of a snake bite.
The inspector said first responders cleared the scene without transport but the person bitten was privately transported to a hospital.
MTV.com said the incident involving a six-foot-long boa constrictor named Rocky happened during a performance of "Anaconda."
The dancer, who was bitten in her inner arm, is expected to be okay. Her injuries were described as non-life threatening.
MTV.com also reported that Rocky was a non-venomous snake and has been used in the industry for 15 years.
