NFL To Honor Shooting Vicitms Of Sandy Hook Elementary

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) -Before every NFL game on Sunday, teams will take a moment of silence, prior to the national anthem, to reflect on the tragedy that happened in the small town of Newton, Connecticut.

The New York Giants will carry the initials, S.H.E.S (Sandy Hook Elementary School), behind their helmets to honor every shooting victim.

The New England patriots will send up 26 white flares, representing every shooting victim, before Sunday Night Football against the San Francisco Giants. They will also wear a black-ribboned logo behind their helmets.

CBS2 will have a double-header Sunday, starting with Denver @ Baltimore at 10AM followed by Pittsburgh @ Dallas  at 1:25PM.

Robert Kraft, owner of the New England Patriots, owns a box company within a mile of Sandy Hook Elementary.
