New Scoreboard Coming To Staples Center
(CBS/LAKINGS) -- Los Angeles Kings defenseman Matt Greene, Los Angeles Lakers guard Sasha Vujacic, and Los Angeles Clippers forward Craig Smith will join STAPLES Center General Manager Lee Zeidman, as they officially unveil the Panasonic created center-hung scoreboard and video display system that will establish a new standard for arena scoreboards at STAPLES Center on Wednesday, Sept. 22 at 4 p.m.
STAPLES Center opened it's doors 11 years ago, and to kick off the upcoming season, the venue will unveil a brand new LIVE 4HD Scoreboard designed exclusively for STAPLES Center by Panasonic, one of the arena's Founding Partners and an acknowledged worldwide leader in digital video systems, the one-of-a- kind comprehensive 8-screen arena scoreboard will include what is believed to be one of the largest indoor center-hung High Definition scoreboard video screen installation in the world.
The Exclusive HD Sizzle Real will be turned on and the first official footage ever shown on the LIVE 4HD Scoreboard, along with players from each team on hand to turn it on for the very first time.
