New Light Shed On Victims, Suspects Of Quadruple Northridge Homicide
NORTHRIDGE (CBSLA.com) — Los Angeles Police Chief Charlie Beck Wednesday shed new light on the quadruple homicide that rocked Northridge Sunday.
"This was not a group preying on strangers," said Beck, who added that all four of the victims knew all four suspects.
The deceased have been identified as Robert Calabia, Amanda Ghossein, Jennifer Kim and Teofilo Navales. They were reportedly visiting friends who lived at an unlicensed boarding house in the 17400 block of Devonshire Street when they were shot execution-style. Three of them were found lying face down in front of the residence.
Four suspects remain behind bars in Las Vegas, where they fled after the shooting, according to officials.
Ka Pasasouk, 31, the alleged gunman, was arrested for investigation of murder. Glendale resident Howard Alcantara, 30, Donna Rabulan, 30, and Christina Neal, 31, both of Los Angeles, were arrested for being accessories to murder, committing robbery, or both, Beck said.
"According to sources, the dispute was over personal property that Pasasouk thought belonged to him," KCAL9's Dave Lopez reported.
Pasasouk was released from a state prison in January. At that time, says Lopez, his status was changed to that of a "low-level, non-violent felon."
Alcantara has been booked for investigation of robbery and aiding a felon. Rabulan and Neal were both arrested for investigation of aiding a felon.
Calabia's sister had no idea why her brother was at the home. All she could say was, "He's gone." She's still in disbelief.
Lopez said the family of Amanda Ghossein, the mother of a 1-year-old child, also had no idea why she was in Northridge.
The brother of one of the suspects, Donna Rabulan, had no comment when Lopez knocked on his door asking if his sister was involved in the murder.
