New Fullerton Tavern Hopscotch Features Massive Craft Beer, Whiskey Selection

Orange County has been busy with many great restaurants and bars openings lately. One of the newest ones to enter the OC dining and drinking scene is Hopscotch Tavern in downtown Fullerton.

Downtown Fullerton already boasts many eating, drinking and nightlife destinations. However, Hopscotch hopes to bring something new to the table with its extensive beer and whiskey list, made-from-scratch menu and a patio reserved just for cigar smokers. Located inside Fullerton's original Pacific Railway Station, it is poised to be a craft beer and whiskey lover's new home away from home.

Opened just this month, this gastropub has a very impressive specialty whiskey collection. They have more than 100 varieties, from single malt Scotch to small-batch and single barrel Bourbons. These spirits come from distilleries in Ireland, Scotland, Japan and our own U.S. Whatever your taste in whiskey, you can find one here that will please your palette. Hopscotch plans to host monthly tastings and whiskey pairing dinners that aim to educate and introduce people to the wonderful world of whiskey.

Love beer? They will have 75 specialty draught and bottled craft beers, ranging from local breweries such as Bootlegger's and The Bruery to other breweries from all over the world. They will also feature seasonal and limited, small-batch varieties. Looking for a wine that you have not tried before? Hopscotch will also carry eclectic boutique wines on their menu.

What is a gastropub without its comfort food? There are sandwiches, burgers, sausages and a variety of entrees such as Beer Mac & Cheese and Pork n' Beans. All items are made entirely from scratch using farm fresh, locally-sourced produce and ingredients.

Hopscotch Tavern is open for lunch, dinner and weekend brunch. Hours of operation are 11 a.m. to 2 a.m. Monday through Friday and 9 a.m. to 2 a.m. Saturday and Sunday.
