New Fiscal Budget Forces JPL To Lay Off 45
PASADENA (CBS) —A projected budget decrease for the coming fiscal year will force NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory to lay off 45 people.
The projected workforce reduction is slightly less than two percent – under 100 employees out of a total of 5,000, according to the Pasadena Star-News.
Some employees have been notified, JPL spokeswoman Veronical McGregor said, but have not yet departed.
