New Details Surface In Apparent Murder-Suicide In Valencia
VALENCIA (CBS) — A Valencia man allegedly shot his wife's parents to death before turning the gun on himself, authorities said Saturday.
The apparent murder-suicide was reported about 3:40 p.m. Friday in front of a home in the 23800 block of Bay View Court.
According to authorities, 64-year-old Martin Fred Strassner, a retired dentist, picked up his wife's parents' 90-year-old Jean Moss and her husband, 95-year-old Leo Moss, at an assisted living home, drove them back to the house, then allegedly shot them and himself, authorities said.
"It looks like he planned it and thought about it," sheriff's Lt. John Corina said. "He had a note, he had a gun."
The gun used in the killings was found in Strassner's lap, who was in the driver's seat, according to police.
The Signal identified the wife as Susan Strassner. She called 911 to report the shootings.
Sheriff's detectives did not reveal a motive.
