Nearly 50 Students Treated Following Pepper Spraying Incident At Narbonne High
HARBOR CITY (CBSLA.com) — Nearly 50 students were treated for minor respiratory and eye irritation Thursday after pepper spray was deployed – possibly by campus police – during a fight at Narbonne High School.
Firefighters responded to the school, which is located at 24230 S. Western Avenue, around 10:20 a.m. and treated 47 people. Many of them had their eyes rinsed and were given oxygen.
One student was reportedly hospitalized after the incident, but was listed in good condition.
A Los Angeles Unified School District spokesperson said they are investigating the incident, which was prompted by a fight between students.
No other details were immediately available.
