'National Enquirer' Releases Alleged Transcripts Of Racy Tape Between Bill Clinton, Monica Lewinsky
HOLLYWOOD (CBSLA.com) — The latest issue of the gossip magazine, The National Enquirer, claims to have obtained a racy recording of former White House intern Monica Lewinsky trying to seduce President Bill Clinton.
The transcripts of the three-and-a-half minute tape were published Wednesday in the weekly magazine.
"I quickly sneak over and then we can have a nice little visit, for you know, 15 minutes or half an hour. Whatever you want," Lewinsky reportedly said on the recording.
The National Enquirer says it obtained the tape through a man who was hired to clean up Lewinsky's belongings in 1998.
The tape was reportedly recorded in November 1997 after Clinton and Lewinsky had engaged in an extramarital affair but before news of the scandal broke.
The relationship led to Clinton's impeachment.
