NASA To Examine Dragon Capsule At SpaceX's Hawthorne Headquarters
HAWTHORNE (CBS) — NASA will visit SpaceX Thursday to take an up-close look at one of the company's private dragon capsules.
One of the cutting-edge rockets made history two weeks ago when it hooked up with the International Space Station. It was turned over to NASA in Texas on Wednesday.
NASA officials will now visit SpaceX's Hawthorne headquarters to examine a capsule that successfully completed a mission in 2010.
That feat paved the way for last month's launch, which made SpaceX the first commercial company in history to recover a space craft from orbit.
