Motorist Trapped, 2 More Injured In Crash That Wraps Vehicle Around La Habra Tree
LA HABRA (CBSLA.com) — Three people were inside a vehicle when it careened off a street in La Habra and into a tree.
It happened around 10:25 p.m. on Harbor Boulevard near Arbolita Drive, according to the Los Angeles County Fire Department.
Two motorists reportedly were taken to a hospital in critical condition.
Firefighters equipped with the Jaws of Life were called in to free a third motorist trapped inside the vehicle. That person's condition was not yet known.
The procedure proved so complex that they had a helicopter fly in a special medical team from County-USC Medical Center to assist them in freeing the motorist.
