Motorist Struck And Killed By SUV After He's Ejected From His Vehicle
HEMET (CBS) —A motorist lost control of his vehicle, was ejected, and then struck by another vehicle and killed Saturday evening in Hemet, according to authorities.
Paul Vavao, 23, of San Jacinto, died of his injuries at Hemet Valley Medical Center after the 9:09 p.m. incident.
Vavao was apparently driving on westbound Domenigoni Parkway when his vehicle inexplicably left the roadway about 700 feet west of Searl Parkway, according to the Riverside County Coroner's Office.
Coroner's officials report that Vavao's car veered up an embankment before he was ejected, only to land on the roadway. A sport utility vehicle then hit him.
