Motorist Seriously Injured In 60 Freeway Rollover Crash
DIAMOND BAR (CBS) — A motorist was seriously injured Friday in a crash that shut down a stretch of the westbound Pomona (60) Freeway in Diamond Bar during afternoon rush hour.
A sport utility vehicle overturned at 4:09 p.m. on the westbound 60 at Grand Avenue, said Inspector Quvondo Johnson of the Los Angeles County Fire Department.
"It was reported as a traffic collision with a person trapped," Johnson said.
The injured motorist was to be airlifted to a hospital for treatment of unspecified injuries.
A SigAlert was issued, according to the California Highway Patrol.
Stu Mundel, reporting in Sky9, said the injuries were significant enough for the motorist that they decided to airlift them to safety.
