Motorcyclist Suffers Fatal Heart Attack While Riding In Angeles National Forest
WRIGHTWOOD (CBS) — Authorities say a male motorcyclist had a fatal heart attack Sunday while riding in the Angeles National Forest near Wrightwood.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the death occurred around noon on Angeles Crest Highway in the Cedar Springs area, 44 miles east of La Canada-Flintridge, said Officer Tatiana Sauquillo.
"The victim was riding when the heart attack started," Sauquillo said.
She added, "The motorcycle went into the guardrail, but it's not clear whether that occurred prior to the heart attack or after."
Paramedics were sent via helicopter, but the man was pronounced dead at the scene. His name was not immediately released.
