Motorcyclist, 24, Dies In Crash With FedEx Vehicle
GARDEN GROVE (CBSLA.com) — A Corona man was killed Thursday when his motorcycle collided into a FedEx vehicle in Garden Grove.
Police told City News Service 24-year-old Ryan Turner was riding a motorcycle near Orangewood Avenue and Monarch Street when the crash occurred just after 12 p.m.
Investigators believe Turner was accelerating past the vehicle on the right as the FedEx driver was making a right turn into the driveway of a business.
Police and paramedics dispatched to the southeast corner of the intersection found the motorcycle on its side and a large amount of debris, according to Garden Grove police Lt. Jeff Nightengale.
The motorcyclist was ejected from his seat, landing several feet from the bike, Nightengale said.
The FedEx driver was not injured.
