Most Of Little League's Stolen Property Recovered
HUNTINGTON BEACH (CBSLA.com) — Most of the property stolen last month from a little league in Huntington Beach has been recovered, according to authorities.
The Robinwood Little League reported the theft of an ATV (used to groom the fields and haul supplies), sound equipment and a $2,000 pitching machine on September 14. In all, the group reported the loss of about $8,000 in property.
On Tuesday, a Southern California Edison employee called the Huntington Beach Police Department to report he had located an ATV hidden on SCE property along Graham Street and Edinger Avenue, located across the street from the Robinwood baseball fields.
During their investigation, officials determined the suspect or suspects removed locks that secure the SCE grounds and hid the ATV and other property in bushes.
After arriving on the scene, Robinwood officials found other property related to the theft after a quick search.
Further investigation revealed items also stolen from Marina High School's snack shack.
Both burglaries had similar characteristics and police now know the thefts were related.
Authorities said most of the stolen property has been recovered and returned.
No suspects have been arrested.
Officials said the investigation is on-going.
