Moreno Valley Neighborhood Awakens To Man Screaming, Gunshots
MORENO VALLEY (CBSLA.com) — Authorities say a Moreno Valley neighborhood awoke to the sound of gunshots and a man screaming early Sunday.
When deputies arrived at a home in the 2400 block of Atwood Avenue, they said they found a 29-year-old victim who sustained an undisclosed number of gunshot wounds.
Christopher Chavez was taken to a hospital where he later died, said Riverside County Sheriff's Sgt. Todd Torrenti.
Neighbors called 911 just after 3:35 a.m. to report screams and a disturbance in the home.
No other information was released.
