Montclair Prep Cuts All Athletic Programs
(CBS) -- In a move that has stunned alumni, Van Nuys' Montclair Prep has eliminated all athletic programs, reports the Los Angeles Times.
Athletic Director Mark Simpson told the Times, " As a result of the economy and overwhelming requests for financial aid, we had to restructure."
Any current athletes are allowed to transfer without losing any eligibility.
The newspaper also reports the school will eliminate grades seven and eight.
