Monrovia Middle School On Lockdown
MONROVIA (CBSLA.com) — A Monrovia middle school was on lockdown Monday after police received a call stating that an armed man was on campus.
Monrovia police responded to Santa Fe Middle School, 148 W. Duarte Rd, after receiving a call around 2 p.m. from a man saying he was on the campus with an AK-47, according to officials.
Armed officers responded and were escorting students onto buses.
Multiple hospitals in the San Gabriel Valley were placed on lockdown earlier after Covina Police Department received a similar call around 12:50 p.m. The lockdowns were lifted when the situation was cleared around 3 p.m., police said.
