Mobile Beatles Pop-Up Shops To Hit Streets Of LA
HOLLYWOOD (CBSLA.com) — Mobile Beatles pop-up shops will hit the streets of Los Angeles on Tuesday.
The one-day-only promotion will make several stops throughout the city in honor of the 180-gram vinyl release of the Beatles' Grammy-winning, re-mastered studio albums in stereo.
The double-decker buses will have items to purchase such as: DVDs and Blu-rays of restored Magical Mystery Tour and Yellow Submarine feature films, an exclusive Beatles T-shirt, the deluxe vinyl box sets, and individual LPs.
The mobile pop-up shops are expected to stop at Capital Records in Hollywood from 9:30—11 a.m., ICE at Santa Monica from 12—1:30 p.m. and L.A. Live downtown from 2:30—4 p.m.
In Sept. 2009, 17 million albums sold within seven months after the Beatles' re-mastered albums were released as CDs.
A listening event for the Beatles' stereo vinyl re-masters will be held on Nov. 20 at 5 p.m. at Ahead Stereo, 7428 Beverly Blvd.
