Missing Beverly Hills Maltese Found In Lynwood
BEVERLY HILLS (CBSLA.com) — A dog known as the mascot of a high-end celebrity store in Beverly Hills has been found and reunited with his family Friday, police said.
Switch Boutique owner Julia Cohen said her white Maltese Charlie was stolen from the 200 block of South Beverly Drive Wednesday. Surveillance video from a business showed a pregnant woman with a young girl picking up Charlie and and walking away, Beverly Hills police spokesman Sgt. Max Subin said.
Charlie's disappearance prompted Hillary Duff and Lance Bass to tweet about the missing dog, was known as the mascot of the boutique.
While following up on leads, detectives went to a home in the city of Lynwood and "contacted a subject that was in possession of Charlie," Subin said.
Charlie was reunited with Cohen and is on his way back to Beverly Hills, he said.
No arrests were made Friday and the investigation was still ongoing, Subin said.
