Mike Trout Breaks Angels, Stadium Record With 489-Foot Home Run

KANSAS CITY (CBSLA.com) - Mike Trout hit a bomb for the ages.

The 22-year-old 'Supernatural' broke a team record and stadium record after hitting a 489-foot home run against the Kansas City Royals in Kauffman Stadium.

Jason Vargas gave him an absolute meatball, down the middle of the plate off a 3-1 count to give Trout his longest bomb of his career.

According to ESPN, it is the longest by an American League player since they began tracking them in 2006.

Trout surpassed Vladimir Guerreo's record of a 484-foot home run he hit in 2006 with the Angels.

The last time someone went deep that far was in 2012, where Giancarlo Stanton went yard for 494 feet.
