Michelle Obama's Southland Visit Begins With Fundraiser At Gwen Stefani's House
LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — First lady Michelle Obama began a two-day visit in Southern California Sunday, where she was expected to speak at three campaign fundraisers and appear on "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno."
Her first stop was at Gwen Stefani's Beverly Hills home, where the No Doubt frontwoman was joined by her band members in hosting a family event.
Nicole Ritchie, her rocker husband and their two children were among the attendees.
The first lady also is slated to speak at a late afternoon fundraising reception at the home of Warner Bros. CEO Barry Meyer.
On Monday, Obama is scheduled to tape an appearance on Leno's late-night NBC talk show, airing Monday night. She will discuss leading the U.S delegation to the 2012 Summer Olympics in London and life at the White House.
Obama will cap her visit with a third fundraiser Monday.
