Metrolink's Antelope Valley Line Affected By Sand Fire Closures

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — Metrolink service on the Antelope Valley Line will be impacted Monday due to a massive brush fire burning in the Santa Clarita area.

According to Metrolink, train service will only operate between Via Princessa and Los Angeles Union stations. No bus bridge will be provided to commuters.

The first train, Antelope Valley Line train 200, will depart at 4:50 a.m., Metro officials said.

All southbound trains will depart at their scheduled times.

The limited-stop train 282 has been canceled.

There will be no train or bus service to or from Vincent Grade/Acton, Palmdale, or Lancaster stations.

The Sand Fire, which has charred more than 33,000 acres since Friday, has forced thousands of residents to evacuate from homes in Santa Clarita and Acton.

Commuters have been urged to check online for service updates.
