Metro Renames Pico Station After Kobe Bryant For The Day
LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — Metro officials have temporarily renamed the Pico Station after Lakers legend Kobe Bryant.
Workers hung signs Wednesday renaming the station as "Kobe Station" to honor Bryant's stellar 20-year career with the team.
The station, which services Metro's Blue and Expo lines, is located about two short blocks from the Staples Center where Bryant will play his final NBA game.
Fans are expected to avoid traffic by taking the Metro lines to get to the game.
