Memorabilia, Jewelry Stolen From OC Home Of Former NFL Player John Cappalletti
LAGUNA NIGUEL (CBS) — Authorities are investigating a break-in at the home of former NFL player John Cappelletti.
The 59-year-old resident said someone broke into his Laguna Niguel home and made off with his football memorabilia and $50,000 worth of jewelry.
Cappelletti won the Heisman Trophy at Penn State University in 1973. The burglar luckily did not have a chance at nabbing that trophy since Cappelletti donated his Heisman to Penn State.
The football star then joined the Los Angeles Rams in 1974 and went on to play for the San Diego Chargers, before retiring.
