Mega Millions Ticket Worth $209K Sold In Lancaster
LOS ANGELES (CBS) — A Mega Millions lottery ticket worth $209,562 was sold in Lancaster for last night's drawing, California Lottery officials said Saturday.
The ticket has winning numbers 4, 11, 21, 42 and 53, but missed the winning Mega number of 38. The winner thus got a runner-up share to the $118 million million jackpot, which went to a player in Illinois.
The Southern California runner-up with 5 of 5 numbers was sold at the 7 Eleven store at 304 E. Avenue I , in Lancaster. Another 5/5 ticket was sold at the 7-Eleven in Sunnyvale (near the Bay area) located at 708 N. Fair Oaks Ave.
There were also two 5/5 winners in Illinois and one each on Kentucky, New York, Ohio, Washington and Tennessee.
The Mega Millions game is played in 42 states, the District of Columbia and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
The jackpot for Tuesday's draw will be $12 million.
