Mega Millions Jackpot Soars To $47 Million
LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — What better way to forget 2012 than to win a huge amount of money in early 2013?
Mega Millions players will get the chance to win big Tuesday when the jackpot reaches at least $47 million.
No tickets sold Friday evening matching all six drawn numbers when the jackpot was $39 million.
A California Lottery official said that one 5/5 ticket (missing the Mega number) was sold in California. That ticket was sold at a market in the San Joaquin County and is worth $572,376.
The numbers drawn Friday were 1, 2, 23, 25, 55 and the Mega number was 39.
Mega Millions is played in 42 states, the District of Columbia and the US Virgin Islands.
Powerball, coming to California in April 2013, has a current jackpot of $60 million. The jackpot for next Wednesday's Super Lotto stands at $11 million.
