Did You Win The Mega Millions Jackpot?

LOS ANGELES (CBS/AP) — And the winning numbers are: 4, 8, 15, 25, 47 and the Mega numbers is 42.

And if you're asking ... .what are those numbers? You are clearly not paying attention.

Those six numbers were selected Tuesday evening as the winning numbers in the 41-state Mega Millions lottery draw.

The jackpot (do we really have to tell you?) swelled to an impossible-dream-worthy $355 million. Early Wednesday morning, the LA Times is reporting that two winning tickets were sold -- sorry, not in California.

One ticket was sold in Idaho (call all your friends in Idaho!) and another sold in Washington State (time to call all the relatives in Washington!)

That $355 million prize (and it bears repeating) made the draw one of the highest in world lottery history, the fourth-highest in US history, the second highest draw in Mega Millions draw.

The Mega Millions jackpot for tonight's drawing was up to $355 million thanks to brisk sales pushing the big prize higher.

CBS 2's Stacey Butler reported from one store where a merchant took in $60,000 in Mega Millions sales today alone.

The game is similar to Powerball -- another game (this one played in 33 states and Washington, D.C.)players try to win by matching five regular numbers plus the "Mega ball." Tickets cost $1.

Besides the jackpot, prizes range from $2 to $250,000. Mega Millions drawings are held every Tuesday and Friday night.

The largest Mega Millions jackpot was $390 million in 2007. The prize was shared by two players in Georgia and New Jersey.

The game, which expanded last year under a cross-selling agreement with Powerball, is available in 41 states and the District of Columbia.

Powerball is yet to be made available in California.
