LOS ANGELES (CBS) — Matthew Perry is heading back to rehab to continue his recovery.
The 41-year-old "Friends" star, who has battled addictions to prescription pills and alcohol in the past, confirmed on Thursday that he was returning to a treatment facility to focus on his sobriety.
"I'm making plans to go away for a month to focus on my sobriety and to continue my life in recovery," he said in a statement, according to TMZ. "Please enjoy making fun of me on the World Wide Web."
Reports say that Perry has not relapsed.
The actor first entered rehab in 1997, and sought treatment again in 2001.
Perry most recently appeared on the ABC sitcom "Mr. Sunshine."
