EL SEGUNDO, Calif. (AP) -- Los Angeles Lakers forward Matt Barnes has undergone surgery on a torn lateral meniscus in his right knee.
The team says the surgery was done Tuesday by Lakers physician Steve Lombardo at the Kerlan-Jobe Orthopaedic Clinic in Los Angeles.
Barnes is expected to be out about eight weeks. He was injured Jan. 7 in a game against New Orleans.
He has averaged 7.4 points, 4.8 rebounds and 1.7 assists in 20.8 minutes while playing 37 games this season.
