Marines Treat San Pedro Students To Back-To-School Shopping Spree
SAN PEDRO (CBSLA.com) — A team of U.S. Marines Tuesday treated low-income students in San Pedro to a back-to-school shopping spree.
Marines led the students through a Target in the city, helping them to pick out school supplies and shoes.
The items were paid for by a nationwide partnership between Target and the Salvation Army.
Tuesday's shopping spree was just one of thousands.
The Salvation Army and Target's Back To School partnership started five years ago and now benefits 12,000 children across the U.S.
