Marine, 25, Succumbs To Head Injuries Suffered In Fight At Old Town Pasadena Restaurant

PASADENA (CBSLA.com) — Two men have been booked for murder after an apparent fight inside a restaurant resulted in the death of a Camp Pendleton Marine Reservist.

Joshua Martinez, 25, succumbed to traumatic head injuries at Huntington Hospital, and was pronounced dead at approximately 1:20 a.m. on Tuesday.

Pasadena Police officers responded to the 100 block of East Colorado Boulevard following a 911 call of a combative subject inside a restaurant in Old Town Pasadena. Shortly after, another caller reported that Martinez was lying in the street, injured.

The victim was unresponsive on the road when authorities arrived.

Shortly before 5:30 a.m., Pasadena Police were advised by an El Monte area hospital that two males had been admitted with stab wounds they had reportedly suffered during a fight in Old Town Pasadena.

After investigation at the hospital, police determined Jonas Ramos, 24, of San Gabriel, and Angel Moroyoqui, 21, of El Monte, were involved in the fatal attack involving Martinez.

A third individual, Bania Aguirre, 24, of El Monte, was located with the suspects and arrested for accessory after the fact.

Ramos and Moroyoqui are in custody at Los Angeles County Jail, and are being held on $1,000,000 bail.

Martinez was an active Marine Reservist stationed at Camp Pendleton, San Diego County.
