Palmdale Gangster Arrested After Marijuana Grow Found In Home
PALMDALE (CBSLA.com) — A known gang member was arrested Tuesday after an indoor marijuana grow was discovered in his Palmdale home.
Detectives from Lancaster and Palmdale Sheriff's stations served a search warrant at the home in the 6100 block of Plaza Court.
Greenhouse tents, ventilation, timer lights and 125 marijuana plants in various stages of growth were discovered during the search. Officials also located evidence related to sales of marijuana.
Charles Berkeley, a 32-year-old known gang member and resident of the home, was arrested without incident.
He was booked at the Palmdale Sheriff's Station and faces several drug-related charges.
Detectives determined the operation was capable of producing close to 50 pounds of marijuana annually, a street value of approximately $45,000.
