Man's Death In Anaheim Called 'Suspicious'
ANAHEIM (CBS) — The body of a man was found Tuesday next to a car with a flat tire, and Anaheim police were investigating it as a suspicious death.
About 4 a.m., a city worker driving a street sweeper came across the body on Miraloma Avenue east of Kraemer Boulevard, Anaheim police Sgt. Rick Martinez said.
The body of the man was next to a parked 2007 gray Toyota Corolla, Martinez said. The victim suffered a head wound.
The man, who did not have any identification on him, has not yet been identified. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
"It appears that the male may have stopped to fix a flat tire," Martinez said. "The trunk was open and a tire was located on the roadway near the trunk area."
A jack used to raise the car and repair tools were also found near the body, Martinez said.
An autopsy is scheduled for Wednesday morning, Martinez said.
Anyone who was in the area Monday night or this morning and may have seen something that would help police in their investigation was asked to call detectives at (714) 765-1944.
