Man, Woman, Dog Found Shot In Apparent Murder-Suicide
KOREATOWN (CBSLA.com) — A man, woman and dog were found dead in an apparent murder-suicide in their Los Angeles apartment Monday, authorities reported.
The victims, said to be dating, were living at 515 South St. Andrews Place, according to LAPD detective Mark Morgan.
Morgan described the man and woman as Caucasian and in their 30s.
A friend told police he became concerned when he couldn't get a hold of the couple. He used a spare key to enter the apartment and found their bodies, along with their Pomeranian, in bed. He said he immediately alerted authorities.
Morgan said he doesn't believe foul play was involved in the couple's death. The LAPD is certain the incident was a murder-suicide.
Investigators believe the man shot his girlfriend, the dog and, then, himself.
No suicide note was found.
Morgan said there was no immediate indicator that the couple had any financial or personal difficulties. Investigators are planning to interview family and friends.
The manager of the apartment complex, who asked to not be identified, said he wasn't aware of any problems between the couple.
