Man, Woman Beaten In San Pedro Home-Invasion Robbery
SAN PEDRO (CBSLA.com) — A man and woman were hospitalized early Wednesday morning after being beaten during a home-invasion robbery, police said.
The robbery occurred just after 2 a.m. in the 300 block of N. Mesa Street in San Pedro, the Los Angeles Police Department said.
According to authorities, two armed men broke into the home and beat the victims before stealing an unknown amount of cash and prescription drugs.
Both the man and woman were transported to a local hospital.
The female was released sometime Wednesday, while the man remained hospitalized, officials said.
The suspects were described as two Black men who were wearing masks.
On Tuesday, a Playa del Rey man was tied up and his was car stolen during a home-invasion robbery at his residence in the 7500 block of Vista Del Mar.
It was unclear if the two crimes were connected.
