Man Wanted For Questioning In Connection To Inglewood Murder
INGLEWOOD (CBSLA.com) — Police are asking for the public's help locating a person wanted for questioning in connection to the murder of an Inglewood man last month.
Inglewood police officers responding to a call of a shooting victim in the 700 block of South Isis Street found Hoover Carter suffering from gunshot wounds to his upper torso the morning of April 25. Carter was transported to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Sherman Lee, 59, is wanted for questioning.
Investigators believe Lee and Carter were involved in a verbal dispute moments before the gunfire.
Inglewood police say Lee was seen fleeing the location immediately after the shooting.
Lee is described as a black male, 5 feet eight inches tall and 160 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes.
He is known to frequent Las Vegas and various Veteran's Administration buildings in L.A. County, according to authorities.
Police say he should be considered armed and dangerous and anyone who sees Lee should not approach him, but instead call 911.
